Rodovaldo Clavijo Velez is a Cuban artist currently living in Germany; in 2005 he graduated at San Alejandro Fine Arts Academy, one of the most important Latin American academies and the second oldest one in America.He has exhibited his works in many galleries and different countries such as Spain, USA, Mexico, Argentina, Cuba, Germany, UK and has participated in important biennials such as the Havana Biennial (in 2012 and 2015), the Liverpool Art Fair at Bridewell Studios (in 2012) and the Venice Biennale (in 2015) within the collection Imago Mundi by Luciano Benetton http://www.imagomundiart.com/artworks/rodovaldo-clavijo-velez-i-have-gold. He uses saturated and intense colours that seem to “scream” while waiting to come out of the frame.
